​Victor Borrego III is a dedicated public sector professional with a strong foundation in economics, government, and procurement. Born in McAllen, Texas, and raised in Edinburg, Texas, his passion for economic policy and governance began in high school, leading him to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Political Science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2021.
While pursuing his degree, Mr. Borrego obtained his Life and Health Insurance License, demonstrating his expertise in financial protection strategies and tailoring policies to meet client needs. Immediately after college, he transitioned into the public sector, joining Hidalgo County’s Purchasing Department, where he spent over three years in the Construction Contracts Division. There, he gained extensive experience in procurement methods, contract management, and grant administration, ensuring compliance and efficiency in large-scale government projects.
